Information used in a sourcing conversation
Prairie Compass Sourcing Privacy Policy
Updated: October 10, 2026. This notice covers information requested by the website's inquiry and comment forms.
Information in an inquiry
The procurement form asks for your name, work email, company, optional phone number and requirements. Your brief may include equipment specifications, quantities, destination, seasonal timing and an optional budget or supplier preference. Provide business information that is relevant to the request. Avoid including passwords, payment card details or unnecessary personal records in the requirements field.
How your brief is used
Information supports requirement review, follow-up communication and the preparation of supplier questions. A useful brief explains the equipment boundary and unresolved site conditions. Procurement discussions may require relevant specification details to be shared with prospective manufacturers, logistics providers or technical contacts. Ask during follow-up if a drawing, identity or commercial detail needs restricted handling before you provide it.
Optional purchasing preferences
Budget and supplier-preference controls are optional. When the form is submitted, the browser adds the selected product, entered budget and preference to the same procurement requirements sent with the form. The visible text you wrote is retained. Without JavaScript, you can include those details directly in the requirements field.
Browser storage for the support notice
The sourcing-support notice uses local browser storage to remember its first display timestamp. Automatic display occurs only within seven days of that first display and stops at expiry. Later visits do not renew the timestamp. Session storage remembers when the notice ticker is closed during the browser session. These storage entries concern display behavior and do not contain the purchasing brief. If browser storage is blocked, notice controls remain usable.
Comments and linked pages
A blog comment form requests a comment and contact information for that interaction. Articles can link to external product references; those pages follow their own notices and practices. A source link is not a supplier endorsement. Check the receiving website before entering information there.
Accuracy and your requests
Use the published contact form to identify an inquiry that needs correction or to ask about handling of its information. Describe the request without resending sensitive material. Specific retention arrangements, service providers and responses depend on the operational system used for the inquiry; this notice does not claim a verified deletion deadline or a certification.
Scope of this notice
Review this page when submitting a new brief. A separate procurement agreement may set additional confidentiality and record-handling responsibilities. The Terms of Service explain the website's independent sourcing role and the need for written supplier confirmations.
