A clear division of responsibility
About Prairie Compass Sourcing
We organize pivot equipment inquiries around the buyer's site and procurement requirements. Our role is independent sourcing coordination: communicating a defined request, comparing supplier replies and identifying items that need further confirmation.
What our role means for your project
- Equipment focus
- Center pivot assemblies, sprinkler packages and related control or support requirements within Irrigation & Water Management. Catalog entries are inquiry options. They do not establish stock, a confirmed supplier relationship or a ready-to-install configuration.
- Buyer context
- Farm project owners, irrigation contractors, importers and distributors can use the same written brief. Describe whether the equipment is for a new field, a replacement package or an order serving several sites; the installation boundary changes the supplier questions.
- Specification responsibility
- Buyers supply site information and engage qualified design or installation professionals where needed. Prospective manufacturers must confirm the quoted configuration. Water source and quality, flow, operating pressure, electrical interface and field dimensions should remain visible throughout the comparison.
- Commercial clarity
- Request an itemized quotation that separates equipment, packing, freight, destination costs, commissioning and service exclusions. Currency, unit basis, quantity and validity date belong beside the total. A lower line price may carry a different amount of buyer work.
- Support boundary
- Installation availability, spare-part response, warranty terms and local service arrangements require specific written confirmation. We do not turn a manufacturer's general support statement into a promise for your destination or crop season.
- Decision ownership
- Before accepting a supplier offer, review unresolved assumptions, substitutions and acceptance criteria. An optional budget can narrow the comparison, while premium or budget-friendly preferences guide discussion rather than certify a supplier's quality level.
Documents to request, tied to the exact offer
- Configuration records: model references, center pivot span drawings, pipe material, nozzle package and control interface information should identify the quoted revision.
- Acceptance records: agree on inspection scope, test conditions and how deviations are recorded. A sample component can answer a fit question, but cannot validate the whole field system.
- Destination documentation: ask the supplier and your installer or customs adviser which electrical, transport and import documents apply. Product-specific certifications need issuer and model checks; they are not credentials held by this website.
- Operating information: request commissioning instructions, maintenance intervals, part identifiers and warranty exclusions. Store these with the accepted quote so later substitutions are traceable.
The irrigation product-family reference informs requirement vocabulary only. It does not evidence our supplier capability or verify a particular pivot proposal.

Browse the equipment inquiry options, note the unresolved measurements and tell us where the equipment will operate. The service process explains how those questions fit into quotation review.
