Keep these conditions aligned across proposals
| Requirement | Record in the inquiry | Supplier confirmation |
|---|
| Flow and pressure | Design flow in gpm or m3/h; pressure in psi or bar; measurement location and operating condition. | Required inlet condition, regulator assumptions and the specific quoted sprinkler package. |
| Coverage and crop | Acres or hectares, usable field shape, terrain, crop height and obstacles. | Layout drawing, span configuration and any uncovered or restricted operating areas. |
| Water and injection | Water source, observed sediment or deposits, filtration and fertigation intentions. | Material compatibility, filtration scope and any injection equipment exclusions. |
| Power and controls | Available electrical supply, existing controller and communication requirements. | Interface specification, commissioning tasks and responsibility for local electrical work. |
| Delivery and service | Quantity, destination access, seasonal need date, unloading and installer arrangements. | Packing dimensions, shipping scope, spare parts and support terms for this destination. |
Pivot or drip: compare the field task
Center pivot and drip irrigation organize coverage and maintenance differently. Pivot selection needs travel clearance, a suitable layout and a defined sprinkler package; drip selection needs line placement, emitter details, filtration and a maintenance plan. Neither choice establishes water savings or yield for an unknown field. Compare site geometry, crop operation, water conditions, installation labor and upkeep with a qualified designer.
For a retrofit, ask for a drawing-based compatibility check and component documentation. For a new system, ask for the design basis and agreed acceptance conditions. The irrigation reference supports terminology, while actual performance remains dependent on the selected equipment and site evidence.
